OXFORD INTERNATIONAL CURRICULUM

Hastin's new approach to teaching and learning, which fosters well-being in education and develops lifelong learning skills for students’ future personal, career and academic success.

This all-through curriculum integrates curriculum materials, continuous professional development, assessment and world-class resources, developing the critical and creative thinking skills for success in further study, including in Oxford AQA’s International GCSEs, AS and A-level exams.

In addition to the OIC (Oxford International Curriculum) we have complimented it with GigoSTEAM robotics & electronics (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Maths). This enthuses and inspires our students to be curious about learning, therefore installing the mindset of Creativity, Critical Thinking, Collaboration, and Communication (4Cs).

A BRAND NEW PRIMARY CAMPUS

Our Primary School campus is brand new, as of 2021, with all the state of the art learning resources. In collaboration with Oxford, we have implemented the Oxford International Curriculum.

To make Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Maths (STEAM) fun, we have invested in the latest GigoSTEAM resources, and provided a specially equipped environment to deliver these classes.

Our Kindergarten campus has designated areas for Early Years Foundation Stage (ages 2 – 5) students, and modern learning through play resources. The Nelson Handwriting programme from Oxford assists our learners in developing their fine motor skills, preparing them for the transition to Primary level education.

A CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE

Hastin School strives to be a Centre of Excellence, where we use modern and progressive teaching methodologies in both our Kindergarten (Infants) and Primary Schools.

We have invested heavily in state of the art classroom & school resources, so our students are motivated and challenged to learn about real-world ecosystems.

Hastin's students are often asked what they like most about their classes, school and teachers - the majority response is, "We learn here through doing things and learning about the world."

Everyone is welcome to come see and feel the atmosphere for themselves.

PRESENTATION SKILLS

Students receive extensive exposure to oral and written presentation skills. Often, the students prepare video productions and written projects to enhance their confidence in communicating.

In addition, and with the help of Nelson Handriting's cursive writing programme from Oxford, students start at the very foundations of pride in presentation, from the minute the pen touches the paper. This is followed through to their cognitive understanding for the need to disseminate their work to the highest standard.

At Hastin School, we understand that learning doesn't have to take place in the classroom alone. Students crave to be outside experiencing the world around them. They are then encouraged to write and speak about what they found out from their own personal experiences. The real-world is a fascinating place, if we just interact with it.
